Show all newsAPMIans Donate Goods To Typhoon Ondoy Victims
As a gesture of being a caring community APMIans, through the initiative and leadership of Supreme Student Government(SSG) Officers, extended their helping hands to Typhoon Ondoy victims by donating goods from students and parents. SSG Presidents Sean Nicole Ecalderon and Charmaine Candelaria, representing the Grade School and Business High School departments respectively, mobilized other SSG, clubs and class officers to encourage APMIans to help victims in their own little ways. The students response was overwhelming! Some willingly gave away their old clothes, shoes, slippers, blankets and eating utensils while others brought canned goods, instant noodles, candles and rice.
On October 1, 2009 a team from ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation came to APMI Naga Main Campus to personally get the donations of APMIans. The team members were thankful to all APMIAns for their generosity and concern for typhoon Ondoy victims. Some SSG officers were present to help carry and load the goods into the Sagip Kapamilya van. It was a touching scene to see APMIans carrying their donations and making sure that those boxes and packs of relief goods would eventually reach their intended recipients.
