Solemn First Communion of Grade Three Pupils
Sixty elementary pupils, mostly third graders, from APMI Naga Main, Pasacao, Lagonoy and Ragay campuses received their first holy communion on December 5, 2009 at Christ the King Church, Ateneo de Naga University in Naga City. The celebrant priest, Rev. Fr. Ritche B. Elot, SJ. stressed to the first communicants three ways on how to become good Christians: going to mass on Sundays, studying diligently to get good grades and being good children to ones parents. Parents proudly entered the church and presented their children at the altar during the processional.
Girls were dressed in white while boys came in white long sleeves and black pants. Everyone actively participated in the singing and said the responses aloud. But the most eagerly anticipated part of the celebration was the communion, when all the pupils received the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time in their lives. After the mass, Fr. Ritche joyfully joined the pupils in a short photo session which was followed by the distribution of the First Communion kit and certificates.
