Inside APMI

MISSION:

MISSION: APMI envisions to create a caring community of learners, teachers and parents with the focus on providing quality, relevant and responsive education to preschool, grade school and business high school students.

VISION:

VISION: Respecting individual differences among students, APMI seeks to provide an ideal learning environment to establish strong academic foundation in preschool, an effective computer-oriented curriculum continued in grade school and sow entrepreneurial spirit as well as develop skills in high school with the aim to produce future leaders and entrepreneurs. Committed to forming well-rounded and effective citizens, APMI strives to develop each student to his/her fullest potentials; physically, intellectually and morally side by side with the advancement in information technology in preparation for greater challenges in life.

The APMI Focus

APMI begins with a deep respect for children as unique individuals. They work from a deep concern for their social and emotional development. APMI is a warm and supportive community of students, teachers, and parents. Children do not get lost in the crowd! APMI consciously teachers children to be kind and peaceful. In APMI school, learning is not focused on rote drill and memorization. Our goal is to develop students who really understand their schoolwork. APMI students learn through hands-on experience, investigation, and research. They become actively engaged in their studies, rather than passively waiting to be spoon-fed. APMI is consciously designed to recognize and address different learning styles helping students learn to study most effectively. We challenge and set high expectations for all our students, not only a special few. APMI students develop self-discipline and sense of purpose and motivation. After graduation from APMI, they will find that these value will serve them well in high school, university, and in their lives as adults. APMI normally reflect a highly diverse student body and our curriculum promotes mutual respect and a global perspective. APMI instills within students a love for the natural world. Natural science and outdoor education is an important element of our children’s experience. The APMI curriculum is carefully structured and integrated to demonstrate the connections among the different subject areas. Every class teaches critical thinking, composition and research. In APMI, students learn to care about others through community service. In APMI, we not only teach, we facilitate learning, coach our students along, and come to know them as friends and mentors. Students in APMI are not afraid of making mistakes, they see them as natural steps in the learning process. APMI students learn to collaborate and work together in learning and on major projects. They strive for their personal best, rather than compete against one another for the highest grade in their class.
